Mayor Best Visits SDE

Susie Dasher 3rd Graders are learning about local governments, so student Katelyn Carswell asked her teacher if Dublin's Mayor Phil Best could stop by.

"I think it's really important for us to know what the mayor does," said Carswell.  "That way, one day when I'm the mayor I'll know just what to do."

Best explained how his office is in City Hall, but his job often requires him to travel and represent Dublin.  Additionally, he said he oversees the City's main departments and meets with council members.

In addition to mentioning his daily tasks, Mayor Best said getting to meet new people, especially young Dublinites, is his favorite part of the job.
