Dublin City Schools Receives National Recognition for Solar Panels

It may be in a small town, but Dublin City Schools is receiving national recognition.  In a special ceremony held in Washington D.C., the school district was awarded for its significant contribution to advancing the use of solar energy.

On behalf of DCS, Superintendent Dr. Chuck Ledbetter accepted The Solar Foundation’s K-12 Schools Award for his outstanding dedication to install more than a megawatt of solar energy at Dublin High School.  Specifically, the DHS solar panels were chosen for saving the entire school district significant costs over the life of the project.

“All politics is local,” said Ledbetter.  “But, the politics of solar aren’t blue or red; they’re green.”
