DMS Spelling Bee

Paula Bondoc won the 2015 Dublin Middle School spelling bee and Katie Mimbs is this year’s runner-up. 

Dublin's MLK Parade

If it's a Dublin event, Dublin City Schools is there.  The Fighting Irish Family rode on floats, marched and cheered during Saturday's 21st Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade.  Peace, hope and love were at the center of this year's parade, honoring MLK and his dream.

DCS Honors Its Teachers of the Year

Dublin City Schools honored its Teachers of the Year with a sit-down luncheon at the Dublin Country Club. Complete with a short video and performances from each school, the program was Superintendent Dr. Chuck Ledbetter's way of thanking educators for all the hard work they do on a daily basis. Special congratulations go to Mrs. Kathy Christian for being named Dublin City Schools' Teacher of the Year.

Eight DCS Musicians Selected for Honor Band

Eight of Dublin City Schools' most advanced musicians were recently selected for the John Philip Sousa Junior Honor Band at Valdosta State University.  


     The band members are:  DMS 7th Graders Sneha Kannan, TaKayla Wright, Apearl Walker-Hazley, Sunnesse' Moon, Chris Daniel, Chase Derriso, Jaquarius Plummer and DHS 9th Grader Karter Wood.  


     From November 20th thru the 22nd, the 7th-9th graders rehearsed in instrument specific classes and performed a full concert under the director of world renowned British Band Conductor Dr. Graham Jones, the retired director of the Coldstream Guard Band at Buckingham Palace.
