DHS Named "Reward" School

Dublin High School led the state in academic progress over the past three years, based on a list of the "Highest-Progress Reward Schools" released by the Georgia Department of Education. 

    

     This category is reserved for the top 10% of Title I schools in the State.  

 

     Dublin High School is among 168 “Highest Progress Reward Schools” throughout the State and the only one in the Laurens County area. 

DCS Homecoming

Saxon Heights' Book Character Parade

Pirates, princesses, Cliffords, clowns and even an Amelia Bedelia were seen at Saxon Heights' annual Book Character Parade. Donning attire inspired by their favorite literary figures, staff and students marched the hallways, celebrating a day dedicated to promoting literacy.

Mr. Bostic's ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Moore Street's 33 students raised almost $75.00 in support of ALS with Mr. Bostic's Ice Bucket Challenge!

 

Following his bout with icy water, Bostic kept it in the DCS family, challenging Dublin Middle School's Mr. Mike Mallette and DHS Principal Mr. Robert Hunter. Additionally, he called on the Twiggs County School Superintendent, Mr. Elgin Dixon.

HGCCA Announces Fairview Park Partnership

The Heart of Georgia College and Career Academy and Fairview Park Hospital are joining forces to create a healthcare pathway for local high school students. 

 

     During Friday’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, Fairview Park’s CEO, Don Avery, announced the hospital will not only offer its financial resources but also its equipment and staff.
